Originally from Syracuse of upstate New York, Maree has always had a flair for empowering others. As a licensed clinical social worker, Maree earned her master’s degree in social work at University of Georgia along with her undergraduate degree in psychology.

After moving to Macon, Maree followed her heart by marrying her boss and later creating Abilities Discovered, Inc. (ADI), with the purpose of providing more inclusionary services for people with disabilities. Maree wrote a proposal, secured funding for ADI, and has been our Director since our 1987 inception. Maree leads the Financial/Administration Committee. With ADI, people with disabilities are given many choices and opportunities. Maree has ensured that our services are always improving and appropriate for the Persons we support.

In her free time, Maree enjoys chasing her grandchildren and creating art through Paint By Numbers. As a spouse, sister, and mother to 5 grown children, Maree loves deeply and still has friends from when she was just 2 years old.
