Born in Georgia, Melinda has been on our team of compassionate advocates since 1989. She has earned two master’s degrees: Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling (Fort Valley State University) and Master of Science in Family Studies (Mercer University School of Medicine). Melinda holds a Professional Counselor Certificate and License. She also serves as Chairperson of our Strategic Plan Committee.
With her sunny disposition and protective vigilance, Melinda always finds time to help others and to encourage learning and positivity. She serves as Program Manager, Developmental Disability Professional, and Community Access/Employment Case Manager. Through her busy schedule, Melinda ensures everybody works as a team. She leads the Strategic Plan Committee to keep us efficient and oversee changes. Melinda provides billing reports that help us stay on track and to identify our weaknesses and strengths so we are always improving!
Melinda has raised three wonderful adult children, Ben, Betsy, and Karlie. In her leisure time, Melinda enjoys gardening and burnin’ rubber on her Harley. Fun Fact: While Melinda is cheerful and typically provides us with comic relief, she swears she is very shy.
